National Nurses Day

On National Nurses Day, Culver City Council, along with the fire and police departments, paraded in front of Southern California Hospital at Culver City to honor the nurses, along with all staff, during the COVID-19 pandemic. The parade, which included sirens, lights and thank you signs outside the hospital, honored both nurses and the entire staff for their efforts to care for the community during the outbreak.

Mayor Göran Eriksson said that the “contributions to the health and wellness of every patient is immeasurable. We hope for your continued health and strength to care for all those who need healing.”

“I have never been prouder of our Southern California Hospital at Culver City front-line staff than during this pandemic, and this show of support from our community is incredible,” said Michael Klepin, hospital CEO. “The city council choosing to host the parade on National Nurses Day raised our nurses’ morale.”
