Veterans Day 2025

Published:

Veterans selflessly serve their country often putting themselves in harm’s way to defend the freedoms we have in the United States. Veterans Day was established in 1919 by Woodrow Wilson and was initially known as Armistice Day and celebrated each year on November 11. At the national level the Arlington National Cemetery recognizes Veterans Day with a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.  Across the country many towns and communities host events including flag-raising ceremonies and other tributes to of appreciation to those who have and are serving in the military

Veterans Day is celebrated to honor our veterans, past and present who have served in the US Armed forces.  Show your support to our veterans by thank those who have contributed to preserving our freedoms, or even take a Veteran to lunch!
